Didn't it seem like just yesterday we were talking about the holidays never being over? Well, they're over, and that means only one thing.
Winter...yeah
Numbing cold...definitely
ok, it means more than one thing...
But it really means one thing to us.
BIG HEARTY RED season!

We've been preparing for this all throughout the past year.
We've stained our teeth black at tastings on top of tastings to find wines to tempt you as the temperature drops and your fare gets richer and meatier. It's the time of year when the light crisp whites of the summer months give way to Cabernets, Syrahs, peasanty perfect wines from Spain and Portugal, the south of France and lush, fruit driven Zinfandels.

But even though it's the season for bigger richer wines, we still have terrific whites too. The 2004s from Italy, France and Spain are drinking perfectly. And the latest vintages of the summer's favorite Roses will take you back to those steamy, sultry days that now seem so far away.

Of course, as always, we've have tasted through the latest offerings from Germany and Austria in order to best provide you with our perenial favorite, the noble Riesling.
The delicious, exuberent, 2004 German whites show plenty of zing to balance their ripeness. Powerful, dry Rieslings and aromatic, subtly peppery Gruner Veltliners from Austria are superb food wines as well.

This is our favorite time of year...the store is jumping, we have a basement stocked with everything we could find to help you out, and we're tasting everything we've found one more time just to be certain of our choices. So please stop in, browse around and don't hesitate to ask about anything. This is what we do, we love doing it, and we love talking about it.

As we said, they're more popular than ever, so if you'd like Nancy, Evan, Jason, Peter or another of your personal Nancy's staff favorites to conduct a tasting, please try and plan well in advance.
6 weeks would be wonderful.
Since all of the national exposure we've been receiving lately, our in-home tasting crew is pretty busy...
